Important update as of May 2017: This event is now sold out.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole, together with their dedicated astronomy team Teton Skies, proudly present an exclusive viewing of the 2017 total solar eclipse from one of the world’s best vantages. On Monday, August 21, 2017 a private viewing party will be hosted at Rendezvous Lodge, near the top of the Teton Range in beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Guests will enjoy a world-class view of one nature’s most spectacular events - a rare total solar eclipse - with luxury accommodations, state-of-the-art equipment, and the added guidance of professional astronomers.

This exclusive eclipse experience will begin with a safe and comfortable ride up to an elevation of 9,095 feet (2,772 metres) on Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s Bridger Gondola. Guests will have the option of indoor seating in the Rendezvous Lodge known as Piste Bistro or outdoor seating on a paved patio area overlooking the gorgeous Jackson Hole valley and its adjacent mountains. Food and drinks will be catered by the chefs of Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole and will include various culinary actions stations and an open bar of Mimosas, Bloody Marys and more.

Teton Skies will provide each guest an exceptional viewing experience using state-of-the-art hydrogen-alpha solar telescopes. Astrophysicist Ryan Hennessy will lead a discussion of the science behind each stage of the eclipse.

“This is the first total solar eclipse visible in the United States in 38 years and Jackson Hole will be the most spectacular location to experience it,” Ryan says. “An eclipse like this cannot be fully captured or described; it must be experienced. It’s one of the only times when we can see the sun’s corona and it is truly magical.”

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole will host activities leading up to and after the "grand show," including discussions with its dedicated astronomer, culinary journey with executive culinary team, musical celebrations and educational activities for the kids. Follow Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole online or ask to join the mailing list at Contactus.Jacksonhole@fourseasons.com for more to come.

The 2017 solar eclipse is expected to be one of the most-viewed natural events in history. As the sun traverses across North America, the full eclipse will be visible only to those in a narrow 60 mile (97 kilometre) wide band along its path. Centred almost perfectly within this band, Jackson Hole’s high elevation, predictably calm summer weather, and gorgeous vistas will make for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Tickets for the event are USD 375 per person and very limited. They may be purchased through Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole by calling 307 732 4400.

Tickets for non-Four Seasons Jackson Hole Guests will go on sales starting December 1, 2016.
