Celebrate the season with two resorts on one secluded Hawaiian island
September 5, 2023,
Hawaii, Lanai, U.S.A.

Enjoy this festive season with cherished loved ones on the authentic, unspoiled island of Lanai.  Featuring seasonal spa and golf events, special holiday menus and music, festive décor, kids programming and more, travellers can choose from two resorts as their home away from home this special time of year. And, travel via Oahu on semi-private Lanai Air is included with reservations made by December 31, 2023 for an elevated and seamless holiday journey.

Enjoy a selection of complimentary activities during each stay, as a gift from the Resort ohana (family) this holiday.  For bookings December 20, 2023 - January 1, 2024, enjoy one complimentary activity per guest, per night from a selection including horseback riding, ziplining, adventure tower, e-bikes, rifles, archery, pistols and sporting clays and guided Puupehe hiking.*

The 90,000 acre (36,000 hectare) Hawaiian paradise is an ideal destination for a holiday escape, offering land, ocean and air activities for small groups and private parties as well as award-winning luxurious accommodations to call home during the season.  The beachfront Four Seasons Resort Lanai features 213 guest rooms in a series of low-rise buildings spread along the Pacific coastline, providing a private residential experience.  The Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including NOBU LANAI, plus spa, golf and tennis, a kids club, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, a variety of complimentary classes and events and luxury retail boutiques to ensure a memorable island adventure for guests.

The adults-only Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort** offers a serene oasis set on 24 acres (9.7 hectares) of rolling hills, tropical greenery and natural beauty. Dine at Sensei by Nobu, enjoy golf and tennis along with island activities or luxuriate in private spa hales with a range of therapeutic treatments.  Enhance personal well-being through a wide variety of experiences and programs, including complimentary fitness and wellness classes, lectures and one-on-one private sessions with a trained team of Sensei Guides and practitioners who hold degrees in their respective field.

Guests have signing privileges at all restaurants and access to most programming.***  Check the online activity calendar for up-to-date listings for special events, many complimentary, during the holidays including:

Golf

Guests can test their skills in a “Hit the Green” competition at Manele Golf Course on December 25, 2023, relax with family and friends après golf at Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Range, have a friendly game of Merry, Merry Mini-Manele or finish holiday gift buying at the Manele Golf Shop Wine Social.  Non-golfers can get in the game with a tour of the most scenic holes along with a cocktail as the day comes to an end or take a fling with Holiday Disc Golf.  Short Game, Putting and Full Swing clinics are on the calendar as well as lessons and scenic rounds of golf.

Spa and Wellness

Relax and rejuvenate at Hawanwana Spa. Exclusive to the spa, the 105-minute Mahaina Ritual celebrates the Lanai Observatory with an homage to the waxing moon, a period for renewal and self-discovery. The treatment includes a Hawaiian salt foot bath infused with turmeric, a traditional Lomi massage, finished with a scalp massage with oil infused with pikake and fresh ginger. This ritual will activate one’s intuition and inner guidance. Couples can enjoy Suite Serenity, a 120-minute body and massage ritual for each, paired with 60-minute luxury facials of choice and light-fare dining for two in the private couples suite. Stay active with a selection of complimentary and fee-based classes such as aerial yoga, beach yoga and meditation or enjoy private sessions upon request.

  • Stargazing Meditation – Follow a 45-minute guided open-heart meditation while gazing up at the vast darkness dotted with sparkling stars.  Led by Wellness Supervisor Caroline Reese, cultivate mindfulness under the night sky.  Listen to the breaking waves of Hulopoe Bay, feel cool ocean breezes and breathe in fresh scents from tropical greens while a calm, nourishing energy flows from head to toe.

Love Lanai Cultural Programs

Join the Resort’s Lanai Cultural Advisors for complimentary Hoolauna workshops and learn Hawaiian history, how to play the ukulele, lauhala leaf weaving, hula, lei making, Hawaiian herbal healing workshops and more.    Or take a Resort Tour and learn about the vivid history of the areas of Manele and Koele, including native traditions, antiquity, and historical facts. Go holoholo on a guided island off-roading excursion. A nightly Pu blowing ceremony will mark the end of the day and welcome a new evening.

Take part in the Kalo Cultural experience, a special give-back activity with the Love Lanai Team.  This interactive tour benefits the Lanai Cultural and Heritage Center (LCHC).  Visit a Hawaiian fishing village near Hulopoe Beach.  Plant taro, a key staple, in the Resort Garden. Then head to Lanai City for a private museum tour of Lanai’s heritage, including the ranching and plantation eras.

Keiki (Kids)

Kids of all ages won’t be bored with the choices this season.  They can channel their inner artist with ornament making on the December 24 and the family can come together on Ohana Day, December 25, 2023 with games, cooking decorating, and a special visit from Santa.  The Kids For All Seasons daily complimentary program, for kids 5-12, also has evening sessions with themes such as Movie Night, Magic Night, Shake it Off Dance Party, Adventures Await, Santa’s Toy Workshop and a special New Year’s Eve event; parties include dinner, gifts and more.

Air, Sea and Land Activities

Experience the island’s unmatched diversity of activities outside the resorts: horseback riding, hiking and biking on land.  Or rent a 4x4 jeep to explore the distinctive landscapes of the island, visit the charming plantation town of Lanai City or beachcomb some of Hawaii’s most pristine sands. Dive into the blue sea with snorkel and sunset sails or private charters – keep an eye out for humpback sightings on the seasonal Whale Watch!  Kids of all ages can Meet the Minis - horses and goats that is - in a special appearance at the Resort. Or check out the offerings at the Lanai Observatory, from sky experiences to moon presentations.

Tennis

Grab a racquet and head to the Tennis Garden, featuring two outdoor Plexipave hard courts and one Har-Tru Clay Court.  Book court time, private lessons or join one of the weekly classes, including Starter Pickleball, Cardio Tennis, Junior Tennis and more.
