Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti has expanded its Spa menu with the launch of Kifa, its first signature deep tissue massage, designed to relieve pressure and improve energy levels.

Kifa, meaning “tool” in Swahili, incorporates the use of a heated rungu, a wooden baton representing warrior status in East-African Maasai culture, with warm Tanzanian Baobab oil in this relaxing 90-minute massage.

Containing fourteen essential vitamins and minerals, the oil has one of the highest antioxidant capacities in the world and offers a wide range of benefits including aiding the immune system, reducing stress levels, promoting weight loss and regenerating skin cells.

The Spa at the Lodge comprises six free-standing treatment pavilions and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking an active watering hole where guests can watch the animals gather for a drink. All the treatments are inspired by the Serengeti, tapping the benefits of local plants, minerals and healing rituals.
