Discovering Outback Australia - An Indigenous Experience

March 31, 2014,
Sydney, Australia
The Outback is an integral part of the Australian identity, and guests of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney can now discover the bush with a luxury full-day tour.

Guests will be picked up in luxury transport from Four Seasons Hotel Sydney and embark on a full day tour. First stop - a chance to meet native Australian animals including koalas, kangaroos, wombats and wallabies at Featherdale Wildlife Park, before heading into a wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalyptus forests at Blue Mountains National Park. Guests will embark on a moderate-intensity 1.5 hour bushwalk with an indigenous elder, learning about Aboriginal mythology, bush foods and medicines.

At the end of the walk, guests will experience an Aboriginal music performance and traditional smoking ceremony and hear the haunting sounds made by the didgeridoo.

Lunch will be had at Echoes Restaurant, perched at the absolute edge of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, with views of mountains, cliff edges and lush rainforest valleys right through the Jamison Valley to Mittagong, 80 kilometres (50 miles) away. With this stunning backdrop, enjoy a two course lunch with beer, wine or soft drink before the return trip to Sydney.
