Honouring Golf’s Greatest
Texas golf legend Byron Nelson is honoured in the Hall of Champions at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas with an extensive exhibit featuring his collection of trophies and memorabilia, spanning 94 years as a competitor, announcer and ambassador of the sport.
Personal photos are included, along with his winning balls from the 1939 US Open and 1942 Masters, his Ryder Cup captain’s ring, the 1945 PGA Wannamaker Trophy and his “little black book” golf diary from his competitive years.
Across the hall is a wall of fame featuring all the past winners of the tournament that bears Nelson’s name – a PGA Tour event held each year on the Resort’s TPC course. It’s a shrine to one of golf’s greatest that no student of the game will want to miss, along with the inspiring monument that watches over the first tee at TPC Four Seasons: a full-sized bronze statue of Nelson, created by Texas artist Robert Summers.
