Doha, Qatar – July 15, 2012
The Magic and Mystique of Morocco Awaits This Ramadan at Four Seasons Hotel Doha. Moorish jewel-toned décor, live music and an exotic and extensive Ramadan spread to bring a taste of Morocco to Qatar.
With its high ceilings draped in rich jewel-toned silk and coloured glass lanterns to evoke a Moroccan tent, colourful seating, lavish buffet and fruity shisha offering, guests keen on spending the long social evenings with family and friends can look forward to doing so in an exotic new dining destination.
“Ramadan is a very special season for many of our guests and one that immediately evokes the Arab world. We wanted to capture that feeling in our Ramadan offering – not just through the food, but through the decor and ambiance. Morocco was chosen as an inspiration because it possesses this sense of mystique and the Ramadan celebrations and traditions of Morocco have a special magic that countries all over the Arab world aspire to. We are sure the Moroccan theme will be appreciated by our guests and lend a special mood to the season’s festivities,” says Souheil Kebdani, director of banqueting.
Guests will be able to enjoy the lilting tunes of a live four-piece traditional Moroccan band as they savour an extensive buffet for both Iftar and Sohour.
Featured favourites include a generous soup and salad table with Moroccan harira soup, zaalouk eggplant salad and more, hot and cold mezze and stuffed pastries, fresh couscous, shawarma and hot bread stations as well as a special selection of tagines and Moroccan-inspired mains such as baked hammour fillet with spicy coriander charmula, roast lamb legs with caramelized prunes and sesame seeds and Morrocan meshwi (whole roasted lamb). A luscious selection of North African and popular Arabic and international desserts – including Moroccan konafa, pistachio baklawa, umm ali, cinnamon and honey orange slices, chocolate mousse, vanilla pannacotta, tiramisu and pineapple-coconut cake will complete the spread. Guests will also be served refreshing and minty Moroccan tea at the start and end of their meal.
