On Saturday March 31, 2012, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong will support Earth Hour by switching off all façade and signage lighting from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.

The Lounge on the Hotel’s ground floor level will also turn off its lights and serve dinner by candlelight for the hour, and the Hotel’s driveway lights will be dimmed. Wherever possible, non-essential lights will be turned off or reduced to 50 percent to recognize a global community effort in establishing a more sustainable planet.

Now in its sixth year, Earth Hour reaches hundreds of thousands of participants and hopes that with the help of social media, this trend can continue to grow year on year. For more information on playing a part, visit the Earth Hour or WWF websites.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong are committed to finding ways of saving energy and recycling materials wherever possible to reduce waste from the Hotel going into landfill. The Hotel and its staff play an active role in the community within which they are based. In 2011, as part of the company’s worldwide project 10 Million Trees, the staff in Hong Kong planted 300 fig trees at a local organic farm to encourage and support the local sustainable farming effort. Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong are making every effort to go Beyond the Hour.
