Where the Wild Things Are: Winter Safaris at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. Private adventure tours led by in-house Wildlife Biologist.
While known for its legendary ski terrain, Jackson Hole is also part of one of the largest undeveloped natural ecosystems in the earth’s temperate zones. Under a blanket of snow, this vast, pristine land becomes an awe-inspiring winterscape offering unparalleled opportunities to view indigenous wildlife.
Often referred to as “the Serengeti of the West,” the dramatic Teton Mountain Range is home to the largest diverse concentration of wildlife in North America. To provide its guests with a premier way to experience nature,

Four Seasons Private Wildlife Adventures allow guests to safely and comfortably view magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, beyond the highways and into remote areas. Along the way, guests will learn about the flora and fauna, geology and history of this significant ecosystem, and have the opportunity to view elk, moose, mule deer, bison, bears, wolves, mountain lions, big horn sheep, bald eagles, river otters, trumpeter swans, owls and other rare birds.
Families will especially love these safaris. As part of the Junior Ecologist programme Thompson has created for children, younger guests will receive their very own kid’s adventure pack filled with interactive equipment designed just for them, and can explore a variety of hands-on specimen samples such as animal pelts, scat, claws and skulls.
Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole is committed to observing wildlife in an ecological and ethically correct manner. Guests will have an opportunity not only to observe wildlife but also to learn how to find and observe wildlife on their own. To further enhance the experience, Thompson will choose a customised route based on guests’ specific interests and recent wildlife sightings.
