Renowned London designer and architect Eric Parry has created a fluid and diaphanous environment in which spa guests can relax and rejuvenate. Inspired by the surrounding parklands, he has made dramatic use of natural materials that are indigenous to the area. Calling it his “space in the sky,” Parry further describes the Spa as a “floating ribbon of glass at parapet level with a satin overhang giving it a feeling of levitation.” From the soothing water sculpture in the reception lobby to the stressed oak wood floors and natural grey stone tiles, Parry has brilliantly brought the outdoors in, setting it against the stunning backdrop of the London skyline.

The Spa Journey

The state-of-the-art Spa features nine treatment rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows that give the sensation of being nestled in the tree tops. If complete privacy during treatments is preferred, a custom-designed curtain system darkens the room and provides peace and solitude. Each treatment room features a relaxation pod – an intimate sanctuary in which to enjoy personal quiet time and continue the post-therapy wellness journey.

Special elements of the Spa include the Sky Suite, a double-size treatment for couples or friends to enjoy together; an ozone-treated vitality pool; and a sauna – the smallest room in the hotel – with a window and a view on the world. At midday, the 10th Floor Lounge becomes a healthy retreat for spa lunches and relaxation, and by nightfall it is transformed again into a stylish room for private receptions, complete with its own terrace perfect for sipping cocktails with the stars above and the twinkling lights of the city below.

Fitness Centre

At last, a gym that’s not in a basement – the Fitness Centre is an inspired commitment to the workout experience as it floats above the city on the 10th floor. Panoramic views, wide open spaces and an abundance of natural daylight refresh the mind and the body and ease the strain of a tough exercise program.
