Though having a cappuccino and a croissant is always a great way to start the day, guests are enticed with local favourites such as café con leche and pastelitos, which are Latin American pastries – ours are filled with cream cheese and guava paste.
For a mid-morning pick-me-up, Miamians favour a cortadito, the quintessential Cuban coffee, made with espresso, a squirt of steamed milk and plenty of sugar. Those craving something more indulgent should try the dulce de leche latte, which includes a shot of the creamy Latin American dessert staple that our chefs make right in the Hotel’s pastry kitchen.
“Many of our guests are business travellers who appreciate the ability to grab something on the go. The coffee bar is also a nice way to get a taste of the local culture, as we try to bring some Miami flair with our offerings,” says Peter Tischmann, the Hotel’s director of food and beverage.
