Gingerbread for Grown-ups. From "Dealing with Difficult People" to "Making a Million Before You're 40," we sign up for all kinds of seminars to help us be proper grown-ups. But where can we go for help in bringing out the kid inside?

Four Seasons Hotel Houston understands that adults need playtime, too — especially in the stressed-out holiday season. So, for the first three Tuesdays in December, the Hotel’s QBAR Lounge will host an irresistibly appetizing adults-only workshop: "Holiday Spirits and Gingerbread Houses."

Chat, laugh, nibble on canapés and take advantage of unlimited Creativity Aids (read: open bar) as you learn how to craft an architectural masterpiece from gingerbread that's fresh from the Hotel's pastry shop. Think of the Four Seasons chef as your on-site foreman, guiding you in the art of construction. And when it's time for decorating, you'll have access to the specialty candy bar to create your one-of-a-kind gumdrop gables or candy-cane columns.

The two-hour experience is made even sweeter by the fact that a portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Houston Chronicle's Goodfellows charity, which delivers holiday gifts to underprivileged children.

Space is limited and reservations are required, so sign up for your chance to act like a kid at Four Seasons Hotel Houston now.
