The program allows Fins to offer the freshest juices possible, as most of the produce is now harvested to order. A completely seasonal menu means that ingredients – including some more exotic ingredients not typically offered at juice bars – are always at their peak in both flavour and nutrition. Menus rotate approximately every six weeks and feature innovative juices and smoothies with names such as Fiesta (orange, lemon, lime, cilantro, jalapeno, sea salt), Zen Cleanse (apple, zucchini, parsley, kale, double lemon) and the Kalefornia (soy milk, blueberries, banana, kale, bee pollen, local honey).
Fins is part of a larger trend of hotels offering juicing and other health-conscious options to cater to the increasing number of guests who are active or are looking to maintain healthy habits while travelling. In addition to juices, the counter also serves wheatgrass and a sizeable menu of vegan and vegetarian-friendly “to-go” options such as steel-cut oatmeal with fresh berries and ground flaxseed, Greek yogurt or hard-boiled eggs, gluten-free cookies, protein bars, coconut water and espresso drinks.
