Cielo Restaurant & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis has been honoured for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2016 Restaurant Wine List Awards. The restaurant is recognised among other winners from all over the globe as a top destination for wine lovers.

“Cielo offers a wonderful international list featuring unique varietals and locations at an approachable price point," says Jeffrey Hall, Sommelier at Cielo Restaurant & Bar. "Wines featured are coming from Italy, Portugal, California and as far as Lebanon.”

Wine Spectator began its program to recognise the world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award; Cielo Restaurant & Bar has won the highly coveted Award of Excellence.

Created by Executive Chef Gian Nicola Colucci, a native of Italy, Cielo’s menu focuses on innovative twists of Italian classics with local ingredients. Parlaying the ease of the Italian lifestyle, Cielo's sommelier wine program offers many affordable wines by the glass, and Cielo Bar echoes St. Louis's vibrant cocktail scene with hand-crafted cocktails and locally brewed beers. Cielo also offers Gaja Wine Room as an event space, perfect for entertaining wine aficionados.

The complete list of award winners is available in print in Wine Spectator’s August issue, on newsstands July 19, and online
