Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis Named AAA Five Diamond Award Winner. The Hotel is the city’s first AAA Five Diamond property.

Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis has been recognised as an AAA Five Diamond property. This prestigious award is given to only 0.28% of the 58,000 Diamond Rated lodgings and restaurants throughout North America. It is the first time that St. Louis has had an AAA Five Diamond hotel.

Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is the only AAA Five Diamond property in Missouri, and is one of only 10 hotels added this year to the list of 103 hotels throughout North America.

“We are thrilled and honoured to receive this designation. This award would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our employees, who create exceptional experiences for our guests each day. We are proud to have been recognised for this achievement in less than one year of the Hotel being open,” says Thierry Kennel, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.

To receive the award, Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis underwent multiple blind evaluations by a panel of experts. The Hotel is physically rated on 75 different benchmarks, while the staff is evaluated on 228 individual standards.

Nearly 4,000 people were interviewed to fill the 280 jobs on staff before the Hotel opened on February 4, 2008. Each team member was carefully selected and trained to ensure that they are prepared to meet the highest expectations.

“We think that our staff’s genuine Midwestern hospitality is what makes them special. Their attention to detail and the considerate service they provide every day is what helps us meet and exceed the needs of our guests,” says Kennel.

Here are a few examples of the type of service to be found at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis:

Vowing perfection – A couple wanted to renew their wedding vows privately in one of the Hotel’s beautiful spaces. The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis team swung into action, with one staff member acting as officiant, another providing live background music and another serving as photographer. The pastry kitchen created a beautiful cake as a lovely flourish to end this memorable day.

A pocketful of service – A guest arrived at the Hotel by taxi and then realised that he had misplaced his wallet. He mentioned this to the front desk receptionist, who promptly called the bell desk and asked for their assistance. The bellman remembered the exact car and driver, summoned the driver to the Hotel and then personally searched the car’s back seat, where he found the wallet underneath. The guest’s wallet was returned to him in less than one hour.
