The holiday spirit arrives in full force at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver as the annual BC Children’s Hospital fundraiser, Festival of Trees, warms up the lobby with dozens of Christmas trees throughout the holiday season.

Nearly 50 Christmas trees will be decorated by as many sponsors to raise funds and awareness for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, including title sponsor, Union Securities, and co-host Cadillac Fairview Corporation.

Jillian Harris, interior decorator, TV star and local personality has donated her time and talents to the event to create a special tree. Displayed in front of YEW restaurant + bar, Harris’ tree will be illuminated in a late afternoon tree lighting ceremony on November 23, 2011, and auctioned off at the Crystal Ball on December 1, 2011. Held at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, the Crystal Ball is the premier fundraising gala for child health in British Columbia and one of the most exclusive holiday events in Vancouver.

“We are honoured to once again be the co-host venue for this exceptional event, particularly on its 25th anniversary,” says Robert Cima, regional vice president and general manager, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. “It’s a fun and fitting way to celebrate a season so beloved by children, by sharing in one of the province’s most important causes.”

All trees will be set up and decorated in Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Pacific Centre Mall from 11:00 am through 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 23. The afternoon will see a few special visitors arrive including Sunny Bear, tree judges and Santa Claus himself.

The trees will be on display from November 23 through January 3, 2012 where visitors are welcome to soak up some of the holiday spirit. Visitors can vote for their favourite tree by submitting a donation and entering a draw to win one of three great sponsor prizes.
