Designed to capture the essence of British Columbia’s natural environment, the final renovation to the 372 guestrooms and 23,000 square feet of meeting space complete the third phase of the renovation that launched in July 2007 with a new lobby and the award winning YEW restaurant + bar.

The overall redesign of the hotel is bold and contemporary, referencing the contrast inherent in Vancouver’s striking natural beauty and the textural urban setting. “We are thrilled to announce the completion of the significant renovation of Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver,” says General Manager Simon Pettigrew. “This reinforces our commitment to perfecting the guest experience and complements our legendary commitment to personal service.”

The design team at Forchielli Glynn of Los Angeles updated the 372 guestrooms, including 66 suites providing new energy and harmony to the building’s contemporary architectural style. Three different colour schemes have been used to lighten and refresh the rooms with accents of earth tones incorporating the west coast environment. To provide superior guest comfort, the addition of new bedding, seating, lighting, carpet and wall coverings are complemented by new artwork featuring Vancouver’s picturesque surroundings. While new LCD televisions, IPOD docking stations and high-speed wireless Internet ensures guests enjoy the latest in state-of-the-art technology.

A full renovation to the lobby includes new floors, artwork, furniture and front desk with the addition of Blo, Blow Dry Bar open seven days a week. The 23,000 square feet of meeting space including the Park Ballroom with new carpets, wall coverings, sconces and drapes. The timeless Park Ballroom accommodates up to 500 or 700 for theatre-style meetings, an ideal choice for weddings, celebrations, events or meetings. The 10 additional meeting rooms are fully equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual wireless services.

The spacious YEW restaurant + bar, named for the rare indigenous Pacific Yew tree, has had all of Vancouver talking since it opened in December, 2007. YEW restaurant + bar represents a new level of sophistication for Urban West Coast dining and design bringing together the most beautiful elements of nature in a clean, contemporary style. With lofty 40-foot ceilings, large windows and skylights, lustrous wood throughout and natural rock, YEW restaurant + bar offers focal points such as an open kitchen and dramatic bar set against the backdrop of a massive green wall.
