A Sweet New Holiday Tradition: Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC Joins in Georgetown’s Inaugural Gingerbread House Competition

This December, the neighbourhood's top culinary talent comes together to support Toys for Tots
December 1, 2025,
Washington, DC, U.S.A.

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC ushers in the festive season with the debut of the Georgetown Gingerbread House Competition, a delightful new tradition that celebrates creativity and community. This festive initiative unites some of the neighbourhood’s most celebrated culinary destinations in support of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, spreading joy and giving back during the most magical time of the year.

Spearheaded by Chris Itteilag, Founding Member of SERHANT. DC Capital Region, and sponsored by SERHANT., the inaugural competition invites guests to experience a sweet new tradition this holiday season. Explore intricate, edible gingerbread creations crafted by some of the neighbourhood’s most celebrated culinary destinations, including Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC, where Executive Pastry Chef Jillian Fitch brings her artistry to life.

Each design draws inspiration from architectural themes, a nod to the world of real estate and craftsmanship, and is built entirely from edible materials within a 30x30x30-inch (76x76x76 centimetre) framework.

From December 1 to 31, 2025, visitors and locals alike can view these whimsical gingerbread houses on display across participating locations and cast their vote by scanning a QR code to make a donation to Toys for Tots. Each dollar counts as one vote and enters guests for a chance to win prizes from participating venues. Three winners will be named in the categories of Most Donations (Top Fundraiser), Most Joyful Design, and Most Technically Sound, with the latter two selected by a panel of local community leaders and benefactors.
