Five Ways to Gather Together – Six Feet Apart – at Four Seasons Hotel Austin
Connecting with friends and family remains one of life’s pleasures, and one of the greatest benefits of travel. At Four Seasons Hotel Austin, guests can continue gathering together – at least six feet (2 metres) apart – thanks to a variety of exclusive activities and amenities with built-in physical distancing. Below are five of the Hotel’s most popular options:
1. An Outdoor Oasis
An oasis in the heart of downtown Austin, Four Seasons Hotel Austin features nearly three acres (1.2 hectares) of sprawling lawns and verdant gardens, inviting guests to spread out and enjoy the great outdoors. Settle into an Adirondack chair with a page-turning book, cosy up with a travel companion in a hammock or challenge someone to a friendly game of ping pong, giant Jenga or corn hole, all available upon request to ensure proper disinfection between guests.
2. Take to the Trail
After exhausting the on-property activities, guests can take advantage of the Hotel’s idyllic location along the shores of Lady Bird Lake to explore further afield. The 10-mile (16 kilometre) Ann and Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail – conveniently accessible from the Hotel’s back lawn – meanders along the water’s edge, providing a picturesque route for walking, jogging or biking. Those who prefer more leisurely pursuits will enjoy the new Brazos Bluffs area directly behind the Hotel, a shaded spot featuring lush landscaping, comfortable benches and close-up views of Lady Bird Lake.
3. Al Fresco Dining
Austin has always embraced outdoor dining, but al fresco adventures are more accessible than ever due to the Hotel's “On-Resort Dining” program. Introduced in spring 2020, the new culinary offering invites guests to enjoy an outdoor meal at one of several private locations throughout the Hotel’s lush grounds, from date night under the shade of a live oak tree to a family lunch adjacent to our lawn games, sure to keep kids occupied from first course to last.
4. Perfect Afternoons by the Pool
Renovated in early 2020, the Hotel’s salt-water pool offers the perfect spot to sunbathe, swim or simply bask in Austin’s light summer breezes. Guests can retreat to one of the pool’s new oversized daybeds – swathed in sheer curtains for more privacy – and relax knowing all of the furniture and daybeds have been configured to comply with reduced capacities and proper distancing between pool-goers.
5. A Wing of Your Own
Similar to the pool, room assignments are now strategically assigned to minimise interactions between non-related parties. For even more seclusion and space to spread out, guests can reserve an entire wing of the Hotel by booking both a City View Executive Suite and Lake-View Suite. Ensconced behind double-doors that close off from the hallway, the combined rooms provide more than 1,300 square feet (120 square metres) and a dedicated space for larger parties to interact away from other guests.
In addition to the physically distanced alternatives above and already stringent health and safety measures, Four Seasons Hotel Austin has embraced Lead With Care, Four Seasons enhanced global health and safety program focused on providing care, confidence, trust and comfort to all guests, employees and residents within the new COVID-19 environment.
