Wit on the Water at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore to Host Annual "Chefs Behind Bars" Event

Spirited cocktail competition to benefit No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger

On Thursday, October 12, 2017, Wit & Wisdom’s picturesque outdoor patio, Wit on the Water, will host “Chefs Behind Bars,” a cocktail competition among six of Baltimore’s most acclaimed chefs. 100 percent of all ticket sales will benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which works to end childhood hunger in America.

Guests are invited to relax waterside on the modern, 85-seat patio at Four Seasons Hotel Balitmore with scenic backdrop while watching six locally acclaimed chefs compete behind their own bar stations to create the most delicious cocktail of the evening. Guests will have the opportunity to taste each cocktail and vote for their favourite. A “people’s choice” award will be presented based on cash tips from the general public, while a “judges’ choice” award will be based on the ratings of notable industry experts including Duane Sylvestre of the DC Craft Bartenders Guild and Jess Mayhugh of Baltimore magazine.

Wit & Wisdom’s Executive Chef Zachary Mills will be joined by an impressive lineup of area chefs, including Jerry Trice of Gunther & Co., Ben Lefenfeld of La Cuchara, and Josh Brown of Fox Boys Hospitality Group. Each chef will be paired with a liquor sponsor to create one signature drink that they will serve throughout the evening. In addition to cocktail samples, guests will enjoy live entertainment and mouth-watering passed appetisers provided by Wit & Wisdom.

In the event of rain, "Chefs Behind Bars" will occur at Wit & Wisdom’s indoor lounge area. While dining on the patio, guests are encouraged to engage with @witandwisdomtavern on social media, using the hashtags #ChefsBehindBars and #WitontheWater.
