Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore Celebrates Global Wellness Day with Fitness Classes and Wellness Offerings
For the tenth consecutive year, Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is joining together with fellow Four Seasons hotels and resorts worldwide to celebrate Global Wellness Day on Saturday, June 12, 2021 and to “Say Yes!” to wellness.
Based on the simple premise of increasing global consciousness of living well, both physically and spiritually, the Hotel’s Global Wellness Day celebration will feature a variety of complimentary activities and amenities that promote healthier lifestyle choices.
“Supporting wellness through healthy habits is an essential part of keeping the body fit and focused,” says Shae Jackson, Spa Director at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. “Global Wellness Day provides a great reminder to take care of ourselves both physically and spiritually.”
To commemorate this year’s Global Wellness Day, Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is encouraging guests and locals alike to take part in a variety of complimentary activities and amenities to spur health and wellness, including:
6:30-10:00 am: The most important meal of the day will kick-off with complimentary assorted juice shots available in the lobby.
8:00-8:45 am: Barre Pilates, aka Barre Fusion, takes the basic foundations of Pilates and combines them with ballet inspired conditioning movements, as well as incorporates elements of dance, yoga, and strength training. Combining these isometric contractions help improve one’s balance, sense of mind to muscle connection, and coordination. Pilates and Barre will start at 8:00 am on the Hotel’s fourth floor poolside Splash Terrace and is limited to 20 people.
8:45-9:45 am: FloYo is a fusion of yoga sequences and Pilates that blends the fundamentals of each discipline while incorporating the added core challenges of balancing on a standup paddle board. The sequences flow into lengthening and strengthening poses, balance postures and breathing techniques along with both core and flexibility training. Each FloYo Fit demo class is 30 minutes long and is designed for all fitness levels and has an emphasis on utilising the breath to connect the mind and body. The first session will begin at 8:45 am and the second session at 9:15 am both on the outdoor rooftop pool deck located on the fourth floor. Each demo is limited to 4 people per class.
Local guests will be required to bring their own mat for Pilates. Water and towels will be provided for each complimentary fitness class. Guests in attendance will also receive a complimentary take home Spa amenity featuring luxury skincare products from Natura Bissé’s new organic Diamond Well-Living collection designed to embody joy and define the ethos of well-being upon arrival.
7:00-9:00 pm: A full night’s rest is restorative, yet nearly a third of adults find sleep elusive. Guests staying over Global Wellness Day will find it easy to turn REM into a reality thanks to a complimentary Wind Down Station featuring assorted teas, tea biscuits, and ear plugs in the lobby.
For guests travelling with children, the wellness continues in-room with an opportunity to unleash their inner artist with a complimentary activity booklet. According to studies, colouring and other forms of creative expression are known to improve concentration and decrease stress. The booklet will feature Charm City themed colouring pages and puzzles, plus crayons.
Additionally, anyone who books a Spa treatment on June 12, 2021 – for a date in the future – will receive 10 percent off that treatment.
Extend the Global Wellness Day celebration into a long “wellness weekend” and enjoy the third night free when booking two consecutive nights with the Stay Longer offer.
