Keith Motsi is a budding star in the bartender world, having spent time in the United Kingdom and now bringing his passion and talents to Four Seasons Hotel Beijng to lead the team in mixing signature cocktails that are the absolute main attraction of the capital’s newest modern lounge, EQUIS.
In 2007, Keith began his career at a young age as a bartender at Jakes Bar & Grill in Leeds, a high volume cocktail bar with a fast-paced environment. Three years later, he worked his way up to become the bar manager of Skippy's Cocktail Bar, part of Arc Inspirations, a renowned bar company in the north of England, where he oversaw staff hiring and training and developed the bar’s strategies and concepts by staying on top of industry trends.
Moving to London in 2014, Keith served as the head bartender at the highly renowned members club Soho House, where he oversaw a team of more than 30 bar staff, hiring of new employees and training, cocktail development and two different seasonal menu changes.
“My profession is also a lifestyle that I’ve grown to love,” says Keith Motsi, Head Bartender, EQUIS. “And blurring the lines between work and fun is what keeps life interesting. Running a bar gives me a window into being part of that human experience.”
Keith is known for his deep commitment to his work, ambition, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive under pressure. His various interests range from physically demanding sports such as club rugby, football and badminton, to travelling and learning about different cultures and customs around the world, which has helped him develop the crucial social skills required to deal with people from all different walks of life.
