With exclusive Private Retreats, ranging from two to four bedrooms, guests seeking to rent a home-away-from-home now have a new address in the "land of a million ricefields." Nestled amid lush paddies and overlooking misty mountain tops, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is renowned among the world’s best for family vacations, allowing for adults to enjoy a much-needed break while ensuring that the entire family has a memorable time together.

“We offer a variety of enriching, fun and safe experiences for children including a dedicated Kids for All Seasons program that keeps young travellers entertained throughout their stay,” says Moustafa Khalil, Director of Rooms. In addition to expansive accommodation, the Private Retreats come with indoor and outdoor living areas, dining rooms, private pools and open-air pavilions designed for relaxation. “Our live-in butlers will take care of every detail, while the Private Chef program allows guests to enjoy special family meals in the comfort of the residence.”

The recently launched Private Retreats Weekly Stay offer includes a special rate for stays of seven nights or more, round-trip airport transfers, a live-in butler, evening canapes at the residence, buffet breakfast for two adults per room, welcome bottle of wine, and 10 percent savings on laundry service.

“There’s so much to discover – both within the Resort and in Chiang Mai – during your time with us,” says Moustafa, sharing highlight experiences for the week-long stay.

Day 1: “Begin your day in our haven of wellbeing with Sunrise Yoga at Yoga Barn, and join our yogi, Dheeraj Patwal, for a series of asanas to improve flexibility, strength, alignment and balance,” suggests Moustafa. Alternatively, a private session of Wheel Yoga is best suited to release the muscles of the back, neck and shoulders, as well as the deep hip flexors.

Day 2: Sundown at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is a special treat as guests can immerse in the lush paddies, and enjoy a stunning sunset over a decadent Afternoon Tea at Khao by Four Seasons, highlighted by the Farmer’s Parade.

Day 3: Chiang Mai’s truly Thai traditions come alive with a range of experiences at the Resort – “Don a traditional Thai farming outfit and wade into the shallow waters of our rice paddies to experience Rice Planting, first-hand,” recommends Moustafa, “Or cycle around Mae Rim valley to discover a beautiful local temple and the lush countryside.” For a more solemn experience, guests can seek blessings from monks that visit the Resort in the morning.

Day 4: The dining experience at the Private Retreats is elevated with the Resort’s team of chefs bringing its expertise to the comfort of the residences. “Guests can choose Thai, Italian or even a BBQ feast in their accommodation,” explains Moustafa. The team of chefs, led by Executive Chef Liam Nealon, will curate menus based on the family’s preferences to make sure the "dining at home" experience is memorable.

Day 5: At the Rim Tai Kitchen Cooking Academy, there’s something special for everyone in the family. Starting with a visit to the market in the morning, guests can learn the nuances of Thai cooking in a one-on-one cooking lesson at the Resort’s fully-equipped cooking school. “Children too can participate and learn easy recipes from the team of talented instructors,” he shares.

Day 6: The Resort’s tennis pro and former WTA-ranked tennis player Nichapa Rungtein (Khun Nut) conducts tennis clinics and cardio workouts that are great for family bonding. Suited for all ages, the experience is fun, while giving everyone an engaging outdoor experience.

Day 7: No visit to this haven of wellbeing is complete without an indulgence at The Spa. “Guests can choose signature experiences inspired by the cultural fabric of Thailand at our award-winning spa,” says Moustafa.
