The Pearl Spa and Wellness UAE Collection appoints Amanda Schmiege as its new Senior Director of Spa. With more than two decades of expertise within the wellness a hospitality industry, and a proven track record of transforming and opening spas a gyms across global luxury destinations, Amanda brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role, leading The Pearl Spa and Wellness UAE Collection into a new era of elevated excellence.

The Pearl Spa and Wellness UAE Collection includes Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre and Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island.

“I believe that wellness extends beyond physical health; it encompasses mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Graduating from the University of Michigan with a focus in Organizational Behavior, Amanda also completed further studies at University College London, holding a Nutrition Certification from the National Acaddemy of Sports Management (NASM) and previously served as the President of the Hawaii Spa Association.

From starting her career at a local spa business in Michigan, to leadership positions with renowned and international iconic hospitality brands including Elizabeth Arden, Starwood, WTS International and Marriott, Amanda has become a well-respected figure in the global spa and wellness industry.

Having previously played a pivotal role in launching the spa, pool and recreation areas of the St Regis, W Hotel & Westin complex at Habtoor City in Dubai, Amanda was also the Marriott Spa Regional Leader, marking her achievement of opening an illustrious eight properties to date and supporting an additional 15 spas across the UAE.

Amanda has been an integral part of the Four Seasons spa team for the past five years, not only as Senior Spa Director at Four Seasons Hualalai, but also overseeing spa operations at Four Seasons Oahu, Lanai, Bora Bora, St. Louis, and most notably, the opening of Four Seasons Cartagena, Colombia.

Beyond her professional accolades, Amanda embraces wellness as lifestyle and is passionate about exploring new and diverse workouts, immersing in nature with invigorating hikes, and indulging in the soothing and mindful effects of sound therapy. As well as being an avid reader and advocate of nutrition, Amanda loves to travel, exploring diverse and beautiful cultures that she integrates into her wellness philosophy.

As she steps into the new role The Pearl Spa and Wellness UAE Collection, Amanda’s mission is to foster intentional awareness and encourage conscious choices that allow all to feel their best selves, cultivating a profound sense of well-being and prioritizing self-care. From invigorating fitness classes led by experienced instructors to rejuvenating spa treatments designed to soothe both body and mind, The Pearl Spa and Wellness UAE Collection provides an all-encompassing experience that addresses every aspect of wellness.
