Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Celebrates Loy Krathong 2026 with Timeless Thai Traditions by the Chao Phraya River
As the November full moon illuminates the Chao Phraya River, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River invites guests to celebrate Loy Krathong, Thailand’s beloved Festival of Lights, on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Set against Bangkok’s beautiful riverfront, the evening brings together cherished Thai traditions and exceptional culinary experiences, creating meaningful moments for families and friends.
A celebration of gratitude and new beginnings, Loy Krathong honours Thailand’s enduring connection to water. At the Hotel’s Infinity Courtyard, guests are invited to float handcrafted Krathongs adorned with flowers and candlelight, carrying wishes for happiness and prosperity.
A Feast of Thai Flavours by the River
At the heart of the evening is Chao Phraya Terrace, the Hotel’s recently reopened Thai farm-to-table charcoal grill, where Chef de Cuisine Jessada Pod Khruapunt and his team present a specially curated family-style menu inspired by Thailand’s regional flavours and locally sourced ingredients.
The evening begins with Betel Leaf Tart featuring ginger and palm sugar, followed by Larb Smoked Rayong Duck with fig and toasted rice. Guests can savour Surat Thani Blue Swimmer Crab Yellow Curry with coconut and barley, alongside Red Grouper prepared with smoked galangal and coconut milk.
For the main course, guests may choose between Grilled Mahasarakham Wagyu Beef or Khao Yai Free-Range Chicken, both served with fragrant Massaman curry. The experience concludes with Samut Songkhram Coconut, a refreshing dessert featuring young coconut and delicate jasmine jelly.
Overlooking the Chao Phraya River, Chao Phraya Terrace offers an inviting setting where the warmth of Thai hospitality meets the beauty of riverside dining. As the evening unfolds, guests can enjoy the gentle river breeze and festive atmosphere from their tables.
“For me, Loy Krathong is about gratitude and bringing people together. At Chao Phraya Terrace, we want to celebrate this beautiful Thai tradition through the flavours of our country, using ingredients from different regions and dishes made for sharing. There is something truly special about gathering with loved ones by the river on a night like this,” says Chef Pod.
Live Music, Dance, and Fireworks
The evening’s entertainment brings Thai culture vividly to life through traditional Thai performances and live music at Chao Phraya Terrace from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The graceful movements of Thai dance and melodies of the live band create a festive atmosphere that celebrates the country's rich cultural heritage.
At the Infinity Courtyard, guests can take part in the cherished tradition of Krathong floating from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, expressing gratitude and making wishes for the year ahead. A festive photo booth, available from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, offers families and friends an opportunity to capture special moments together.
At 8:30 pm, a four-minute fireworks display will illuminate the riverfront, creating a spectacular highlight to an evening of Thai traditions and shared celebrations along the Chao Phraya River.
A Festival for Young Hearts
The Kids For All Seasons programme invites young guests to discover the beauty of Thai culture through creative and playful experiences inspired by Loy Krathong. Children can explore the meaning behind this cherished festival while enjoying activities designed to bring Thai traditions to life.
Families can also share the meaningful experience of Krathong floating, giving young guests an opportunity to make their own wishes and create lasting memories beneath the November full moon.
