Tió’s Enchanted Christmas Realm at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing

An enchanted winter awaits at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing
December 11, 2025,
Beijing, China

As winter snow gently dusts the capital’s rooftops, an ancient magic from Catalonia quietly arrives. Four Seasons Hotel Beijing welcomes a very special Christmas guest: Tió de Nadal, the beloved holiday log that has carried blessings of the winter solstice for centuries. This year, under the theme Tió’s Enchanted Christmas Realm, guests are invited to enjoy a festive afternoon tea that blends time-honoured folklore with delightful seasonal flavours, where joy and culinary enchantment illuminate the warm winter season.

Tió’s story is rooted in gratitude for nature’s gifts. According to Catalan tradition, families bring home a magical log from the forest every December. They lovingly feed Tió candies and treats and wrap it in warm blankets to keep the winter chill away. When the lights of Christmas Eve glow across the room, children gather around Tió and sing the cheerful Caga Tió song, sharing nature’s generosity and the joy of giving.

The Tió’s Enchanted Christmas Realm Afternoon Tea is thoughtfully crafted by the hotel’s culinary team, artfully weaving seasonal flavours with festive charm. The Chocolate and Cherry Yule Log Cake, shaped in the delightful form of Tió, is adorned with a playful smile and a festive Santa hat. Beneath its velvety chocolate shell lies a bright cherry compote, delivering both exquisite detail and exceptional flavour. The Hazelnut Financier with red berries and mascarpone offers buttery softness with crushed hazelnuts folded within, reminiscent of crisp winter air carrying the aroma of forest nuts. The Calamansi Matcha Cake marries the gentle bitterness of matcha with the vibrant citrus of calamansi, a single bite is as radiant as the Catalonian winter sun. The Golden Apple Tart unfolds with layers of delicate fruit sweetness and creamy warmth, its refreshing profile echoing the quiet vitality of winter.

The savoury selections are equally thoughtful, each item crafted with creativity and finesse. Spicy Cuttlefish with caviar on crispy yellow rice features tender, springy cuttlefish coated in a mildly spicy house-made chili sauce, set atop a crisp yellow rice base that adds a warm, toasty grain aroma that is bold yet refreshing. The Emerald Fish Roll with puning bean sauce and wild green jelly pairs delicate fish rolls with the savoury depth of puning bean sauce and the bright, herbal notes of wild green jelly, creating a refined harmony between Eastern freshness and Western lightness. A glossy red glaze surrounds the Foie Gras Mousse with a raspberry glaze and autumn pear, where the smooth richness of foie gras is lifted by the occasional crisp sweetness of autumn moon pear—a perfectly balanced blend of indulgence and fruit. The Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich with cranberry sauce brings comforting holiday nostalgia, combining wood-smoked aroma, tender turkey, and soft bread for a timeless seasonal classic.

Starting today, guests are invited to enjoy the reimagined Tió’s Enchanted Christmas Realm Afternoon Tea at the Opus Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing. The afternoon tea is priced at CNY 298 for one and CNY 568 for two. For more information, please contact the Opus Lounge at +86 (10) 5695 8532.
