This Winter, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru Presents “Lagaan & Angaar” in Honour of India’s Culinary Duality

Bengaluru, India

Housed in the elegant corridors of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, where every experience is shaped by intuition and balanced with thoughtful indulgence, CUR8 introduces Lagaan aur Angaar, a culinary exploration anchored in India’s oldest elements.

The festival invites diners to pause, look inward and rediscover the quiet power of earth and fire, two forces that together define the duality of Indian cooking. Executive Chef Vivek Kalia shares, “Four Seasons guests value authenticity. They value stories. And they value food that carries a true sense of place. Lagaan aur Angaar was shaped with this in mind, giving our diners the opportunity to engage with India’s most elemental cooking traditions through a thoughtful, contemporary Four Seasons lens. Our guests seek experiences that feel genuine yet elevated, and this festival reflects that balance between local relevance and global awareness — an approach that allows every dish to feel both rooted and refined.”

Angaar engages with fire in its most elemental form. Here, Indian open-flame cooking takes centre stage. Galouti, Kakori, Shikampur, Boti, Tunday, Chapli, Kalmi and other kebabs are crafted with respect for their origins, relying on technique, balance and controlled heat. The result is a curated collection that reflects continuity and craft without theatrics.

Through the winter months until February 2026, CUR8 transforms in a way that complements the season. Mud walls, lanterns, charpoys and vintage-style signboards create a sense of grounded familiarity, while folk percussion energises the Angaar hours and flute and baul music lend a quieter mood to Lagaan. The intention is to create an atmosphere where tradition feels personal yet refined.

In the signature Four Seasons style, where thoughtfulness guides every detail, Lagaan aur Angaar stands as a contemporary expression of India’s culinary roots. It offers guests the opportunity to reconnect with the elemental clarity of earth and fire.
