A Family Legacy Arrives at Castanyoles
Carmine Esposito grew up with the smell of pizza at home. Coming from a gastronomic lineage, at age eight he was already embracing the tradition of Italian cuisine thanks to the guidance of his father. His interest flourished abroad as he perfected his art, and he brings it to fruition now. Esposito - studious, detail-oriented and with an insatiable hunger to explore new flavours - brings experimentation to the kitchen, offering something unique and exquisite in his creations. As an entrepreneur, cook at large restaurant groups and international establishments, Esposito spent several years in Asia, where he was recognised from 2009 to 2015 with Hong Kong's restaurant Cucina in luxury hotel chain Marco Polo. There, he received an award as one of the best 100 Asian Restaurants, and in 2011, the distinction of the restaurant appearing the Michelin Guide while under his charge.
The love for his Colombian wife brought him to this land, where he has participated in recognised gastronomic events such as Alimentarte and Sabor Barranquilla, as well as in the television program Master Chef Junior, in which he participated as a special guest.
His Debut at Four Season Hotel Casa Medina
A magical and immersive experience is experienced from the moment of entering Castanyoles, where every detail speaks of the passion and commitment to impeccable service. Each dish is tailormade, a work of art that awakens every sense. In the spirit of his Italian roots, Esposito interacts with guests and is receptive to the tastes of every client.
With the aim of offering people an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, the restaurant will soon offer a typical Colombian tasting menu, with a unique mixture of local flavours created by Esposito and his team.
