“The Great Elephant Migration” Brings Seven Life-Sized Elephant Sculptures to Four Seasons in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach
In collaboration with Elephant Family USA, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach announce the arrival of a small collection of magnificent life-size Indian elephant sculptures, which will be on display through mid-March of 2025.
The announcement follows a captivating installation that graced the shores of Miami Beach, Florida for Miami Art Week. Prior to arriving in South Florida, the herd made stops in Newport, Rhode Island and New York City. As they continue their migration across the country, seven sculptures will be shared across the two Four Seasons properties – four in Palm Beach and three in Fort Lauderdale - before they reunite with the larger herd and journey westward, with stops planned in Houston, Texas; Blackfeet Nation’s Buffalo Pastures in Browning, Montana; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Los Angeles, California.
“We are honoured to continue this meaningful collaboration with the Elephant Family and do our part to help raise awareness on human and wildlife coexistence,” says Mali Carow, General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale. “Our Terrace Gardens provide the perfect setting for these sculptures, offering guests and visitors a unique opportunity to connect with this inspiring initiative.”
“We are delighted to showcase these extraordinary members of the herd in our Resort Garden, where their presence not only enhances the natural beauty of our surroundings but also inspires meaningful conversations about conservation and coexistence,” shares Mazen Saleh, General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.
The sculptures are now on display at both Four Seasons locations. At Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, the three elephants are prominently featured amid the Terrace Gardens, creating a serene and reflective experience. At Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, the remaining four sculptures are nestled within the Resort Garden, providing a stunning complement to the property’s lush coastal landscape.
Guests and the local community are encouraged to visit and share photographs of the sculptures as they are on display in Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. This will amplify the Elephant Family’s message of promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife while celebrating the craftsmanship of these remarkable sculptures.
About Elephant Family USA
Elephant Family USA is committed to building landscapes that support human-wildlife coexistence. As human populations expand and natural habitats shrink, people and animals are fighting a battle for food and space. Elephant Family USA supports a wife range of projects that find ways for humans and animals to live closer together than ever before. From securing a network of wildlife corridors, which act as bridges between islands of forests, to relocating busy highways that slice through primary forest, these projects help humans and wildlife more effectively share space.
