Geneva, Switzerland

Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva has launched Riviera des Bergues, a curated collection of al fresco experiences and open-air activities infused with laidback lakeside vibes. Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Hotel is the ultimate summer getaway, morphing into a vibrant lakeside playground come summer. At this time of year, Geneva bursts into life, transforming into a buzzing urban resort with music festivals, pop-up events and cafes spilling onto sunlit squares. Steps away from the Hotel, the local beach is the go-to spot for a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters, perfect to cool off from the summer heat.

Homemade Ice Cream

Pastry Chef Lyece Major has created several refreshing ice-creams and sorbets bursting with summer flavours. Alongside classics such as chocolate, lemon and Bronte pistachio, there are signature flavours including goat’s milk infused with orange blossom. Served with a fluffy Sicilian-style brioche, the ice creams are served from a charming swirl-patterned blue and white ice cream cart on the waterfront promenade outside the Hotel.

Kampai Menu at Izumi Rooftop

The Hotel’s rooftop restaurant Izumi is a hip summer hangout where guests can sip refreshing drinks accompanied by light bites between 3:00 and 6:00 pm from Thursday to Sunday. This summer season, a dedicated sushi menu will also be available, featuring the likes of nigiris, sushi rolls and light dishes including crispy soft-shell crab with watermelon salad and ponzu amarillo sauce. Walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability.

Activities

Stand Up Paddle on the Lake

One of the best ways to take in Geneva’s glorious lake scenery is by SUP, gently paddling across the water and admiring uninterrupted views of the city’s iconic water jet, all while mastering tips on how to stay stable. Located a 15-minute taxi ride from the Hotel, Geneve Plage rents SUP boards, with prices starting from CHF 40 for a one-hour board rental.

Wine Tasting and Biking in Lavaux

Located a one hour’s drive from the Hotel, the UNESCO-designated Canton of Vaud offers some of the country’s most picture-perfect scenery, with nature reserves, dramatic peaks and vineyard landscapes. Prices start from CHF 2040 for two people, including private transfers in a Mercedes V Class.

Guided Cruise to Yvoire

Dubbed the “gem of the lake,” the medieval village of Yvoire is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in France. Lying just across the border on French soil, it’s all quaint cobbled alleyways, flower-draped wooden balconies, and charming stone townhouses. A luxury lake cruise aboard a sleek Pardo 38 yacht zips guests across the water to the lakefront village in 50 minutes, offering scenic views along the way. Prices start from CHF 4620 for a 4-hour boat rental.

Mountain Wellness Hike

Offering sweeping vistas of Geneva and Mont Blanc, Mont Salève offers more than 250 kilometres (155 miles) of scenic mountain paths. Accompanied by a certified coach, guests can embark on a 1.5-hour hike to its summit, where they’ll unwind with mindful stretching and guided breathing exercises. Back at the Hotel, guests can toast the day with a refreshing aperitif at Izumi. The hike is priced from CHF 600 for two people, including transfers.

Lake Swim

Lake Geneva offers plenty of quiet, secluded pockets perfect for a refreshing swim. Guests can take part in personalised sessions guided by a professional swimming coach, ensuring both safety and confidence in the open water. Whether aiming to refine technique, build confidence or simply take in the peace and serenity of the lake, these tailored sessions strike the perfect balance between fitness and relaxation. Prices start from CHR 215 per person (minimum 2 people) for a bespoke 1 hour and 30 minute session.

Cold Bath Experience

The Hotel Spa offers invigorating cold plunge sessions, providing a rejuvenating experience for body and mind. Cold baths are known to boost mental clarity, reduce stress and anxiety, promote better sleep, increase blood flow and circulation, and accelerate muscle recovery. Available by prior reservation at Spa Mont Blanc.

Boutique Spa and Summer Accessories

The Hotel’s exclusive straw totes and striped beach towels are practical and stylish, exuding effortless summer chic with their playful, colourful designs ranging from classic nautical stripes to whimsical teardrops and bold abstract designs in shades of navy blue, sunny yellow, and beyond. Available to purchase from the Hotel boutique, they’re perfect as a beach carry-all or for a yachting adventure, or simply for a leisurely stroll around town. Upon arrival, little guests are gifted with practical blue backpacks that are perfect for outdoor adventures.

Kids’ Club
