Golden Triangle, Thailand

Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle is pleased to welcome Ashok Nair as Camp Manager. Bringing nearly eight years of Four Seasons experience, Ashok joins the Camp with a leadership philosophy shaped by curiosity, genuine care and a belief that the most memorable journeys are often found in life's simplest moments.

Set among the bamboo forests of Northern Thailand, where rivers converge and cultures meet, Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle offers guests an experience unlike anywhere else. Surrounded by nature and inspired by the rich heritage of the region, the Camp invites travellers to slow down, embrace discovery and connect more deeply with the destination.

For Ashok, it is a place that perfectly reflects what he loves most about hospitality.

"I love observing guests immerse themselves in the simple joys of life and rediscover the child within. It's worth all the effort that goes into creating those experiences," he says. "The Tented Camp is unlike anywhere else in the world. Every guest arrives seeking something different—whether it's adventure, tranquillity, connection or discovery. Being part of those journeys is what excites me most."

Ashok joined Four Seasons in 2017 as Director of Experiences at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, beginning a journey that has deepened both his connection to Northern Thailand and his appreciation for experiences rooted in place. Throughout his career with Four Seasons, he has become known for his calm leadership, collaborative approach and unwavering commitment to creating meaningful moments for both guests and employees.

Before joining Four Seasons, Ashok built his career with some of India's most respected hospitality brands, including Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, Taj Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur, and Tree of Life Resorts & Spa. His early experience in learning and development continues to influence the way he leads today.

"Exceptional guest experiences begin with exceptional people," says Ashok. "Creating memorable guest experiences begins with creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and inspired. When our teams feel supported, that care naturally extends to every guest they welcome."

Inspired by the endless curiosity of his young son, Ashok is constantly looking for new ways to enrich the guest experience. Whether it's introducing a thoughtful surprise, encouraging guests to explore beyond the expected or simply helping someone discover a new perspective, he believes hospitality is at its best when it sparks curiosity.

"Always stay curious," he says. "Children have a wonderful way of seeing the world with fresh eyes. They remind us to ask questions, notice the little things and find joy in discovery. I try to bring that same spirit into the experiences we create for our guests."

Holding a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the Institute of Hotel Management, India, Ashok speaks English, Hindi and Malayalam.

As Camp Manager, Ashok looks forward to building on the Camp's legacy by creating experiences that celebrate the landscapes, wildlife and cultures of the Golden Triangle while fostering genuine connections between guests, the destination and the people who call it home.

"The Golden Triangle has a remarkable ability to awaken curiosity," he says. "I hope every guest leaves having discovered something new—not only about this extraordinary destination, but also about themselves."
