Best-Selling Author Kevin Kwan to Host Exclusive Book Signing at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai for Newest Novel, "Lies and Weddings"

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai announces an exclusive book signing event with internationally best-selling author Kevin Kwan, celebrating the release of his new novel, Lies and Weddings. The event will offer fans a unique opportunity to meet the iconic author of the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, in the luxurious setting that partly inspired his latest work.

Lies and Weddings, a novel that promises to be as engaging and outrageous as Kwan’s previous works, is set partially at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where Kwan resided while writing a portion of this new book. The story features a forbidden affair that erupts amid a decadent tropical wedding, delivering a vibrant comedy of manners.

“During a terrible bout of writer’s block in 2021, I was invited to visit friends in Puako for New Year’s. A few days into my visit, in a burst of creative inspiration I began writing a new novel, which eventually became Lies and Weddings,” Kwan says.  “The people of Hawai’i and the island itself offered me a place of beauty, healing and inspiration for which I am very grateful.  So many wondrous places on the island, including Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, became the settings where characters in my novel have experiences that change the course of their lives.”

• Location: Ballroom Foyer, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
• Details: The book signing will include a live interview with Kevin Kwan, followed by a signing session where guests can have their books dedicated and signed by the author. Guests will also receive a taste of the Lies and Weddings cocktail, also available for purchase throughout the Resort for a limited time. Purchase of Lies and Weddings required for entrance (one book per person), available for sale at the event.
