Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay Launches "Quiet Cinema" Experience at Coconut Grove
As the sunset paints the horizon and lights begin to twinkle along the beach, an elevated cinema experience is arriving on the sand at Jimbaran Bay. From September 13, 2026, the secluded Coconut Grove at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay transforms into Jimbaran Cinema every Sunday and Monday evening. Guests and visitors alike can settle in for an intimate evening beneath the stars, complete with sunset drinks, relaxed beachfront dining and a classic movie with an unexpectedly quiet twist.
Film favourites
No loudspeakers interrupt the rhythm of the waves lapping the shore. Instead, the film’s soundtrack is streamed to guests’ mobile phones through CineWav, using their own earphones. The result is a wonderfully personal experience, allowing everyone to enjoy their own private ‘cinema under the stars’ event. Sunday evenings are made for families and friends, with uplifting favourites like Mamma Mia! and The Greatest Showman. Mondays have a more romantic vibe, with films such as The Notebook inviting couples to share a magical evening together.
Sips and snacks
The evening begins at 6:00 pm with a Sunset Lounge experience. Guests select their choice of seating – bean bag, sun bed or armchair sofa – before toasting to a stunning Jimbaran Bay sunset with a welcome drink. At 7:30 pm, the lights go down and the film begins, with full in-seat service available throughout the screening. Cinema tickets include the welcome drink as well as complimentary free-flow soft drinks and juice plus regular top-ups at the popcorn booth.
Great films deserve great snacks, and guests can further elevate the evening with an à la carte snacking menu. Luxurious yet laid-back, highlights include lobster rolls, coconut crab nachos, Korean-style fried chicken, and truffle parmesan fries. A candy shop and ice cream cart add a nostalgic touch. For those in celebratory mood, the Movie Picnic brings together treats like caviar, a lobster roll, truffle fries and popcorn, with an optional bottle of Dom Pérignon or Billecart-Salmon Rosé.
Make time for togetherness
Running from September 13 to November 9, 2026, Jimbaran Cinema is open to both resort guests and outside visitors, including families with children over five. Whether it’s a date night, a special occasion or simply an excuse to spend an evening together by the sea, the experience offers a fresh take on the traditional movie night. The sunset sets the scene, the screen provides the entertainment, and the ocean supplies a peaceful background soundscape throughout.
