Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg welcomes its guests to come as they are – whether they are travelling with children or pets, in jeans or a suit.

This perception has been challenged by the Hotel through a variety of new approaches to modern day guests’ wants and needs. The Hotel charges no additional fee for children 18 years of age and younger occupying the same guest room as their parents or guardians (space permitting). Should a second room be required, parents can take advantage of 50 percent savings on the rate. In addition, meals and laundry services are complimentary for children under the age of 13, and as is a special gift – Four Seasons Joburg'ss very own rhino, Chukuru.

Baby-sitting services are available, upon request, for the couple who wish to enjoy a private meal, content in the knowledge that their child is being entertained and cared for by a professional child minder. “Our grounds feature a family pool where children are encouraged to come and have fun without restraint,” explains Carre. “In addition, we offer exciting family-minded activities, such as access to the Johannesburg Zoo and ‘chicnic’ baskets sampling the array of delicious treats from our Westcliff Deli, which can be enjoyed within the grounds or taken with you for a picnic in Delta Park, for example. Special excursions to the Cradle of Humankind or a guided tour of the city through Past Experiences can be arranged by the Hotel's concierge service.”

Further adding to this new approach, the Hotel has also extended its hospitality to four-legged guests. “Travelling with pets has become a norm in today’s society, but finding a hotel that caters to travellers’ furry companions, without compromising on luxury, can be challenging,” explains Carre.
