Café Culture Comes to Four Seasons Resort Lanai with The Break
New dining option offers fresh flavours from sunrise to starlight
The Break will welcome guests of Four Seasons Resort Lanai, the luxury AAA Five Diamond Hawaiian resort, into a comfortable place to relax, get work done or enjoy a game, all overlooking the gorgeous Hulopoe Bay, a protected marine reserve home to spinner dolphins.
The all-day café opens early for light breakfast items such as pastries, acai bowls, fresh-cold-pressed juices, yogurts, housemade granola and more. Or try a delicious and very portable musubi of the day. Working with partner Pacific Coffee Research allows the Resort to identify and support local coffee producers from Hawaii.
At lunch time, sit back and relax or grab something to-go and explore the red dirt trails of Lanai on an off-road adventure. Choose from bursting-with-freshness salads or a local favourite, the Lanai venison pastrami sandwich or chipotle venison taco, perhaps with a side of furikake fries?
Those craving a sweet treat will be in luck, with a selection of housemade gelatos, featuring unique tastes and textures such as lemon yuzu, acai, Lanai honey spice and of course lilikoi (passion fruit). Executive Pastry Chef Hafiz Razali studied patisserie in his home of Malaysia before heading out on a global journey to places such as Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Bali and Maldives before arriving on Lanai. His love of travel, soccer and guitar help nurture his creativity in the kitchen.
A Before and After menu sets the tone for relaxing evenings. Enjoy aperitif style cocktails paired with pupus and plates to share. Queens is a tantalising blend of amber and Old Lahaina rums, calamansi and lilikoi ginger beer, while the Paddle Cooler is a refreshing mocktail made from lilikoi, mint and soda. Lobster arancini, kalua shredded pork flatbread, and "Charcuterie to da Max" ensure nibbles for all, or enjoy burgers, tacos or poke just for one. Hawaii has 11 local breweries and three wineries, and guests can sample the craftsmanship of these providers from across the Aloha state to quench a thirst.
“After” will showcase spirit-forward libations, coffee cocktails and nightcaps paired with desserts, gelatos and The Break's signature lilikoi cheesecake.
The Break is open daily from 5:30 am to 11:00 pm, with last orders at 10:00 pm.
The Break joins signature restaurant ONE FORTY, inspired by the island's 140 square mile radius; poolside Malibu Farm; VIEWS at Manele Golf Course and Nobu Lanai.
