The Year of the Horse arrives in a blaze of colour, wonder and inspiration at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. Between the turquoise Andaman Sea and lush rainforests, a vibrant celebration unfolds this February, reflecting the essence of Chinese New Year through cherished cultural rituals, exquisite flavours and transformative wellness journeys.
“To mark the season of new beginnings, we invite our guests to explore a collection of remarkable experiences, thoughtfully curated to deepen connection and spark renewal,” says General Manager, Ivan Giles. “Our team’s warm hospitality and personalized attention uplift each moment of the celebration, leaving families with the memories of a lifetime.”
Cultural Discovery
Welcoming good luck and prosperity for the coming months, a Lion Dance on February 18, 2026, thrills guests with the lively energy of Chinese New Year. The rhythmic beat of drums, cymbals and gongs fills the air as dancers channel the lion’s strength and agility through spectacular acrobatics, believed to ward off evil spirits.
Lutong Kids Club introduces young guests to local festive traditions through a line-up of Festive Kids’ Activities on February 16. Little ones can explore an exciting selection of arts and crafts, including red envelope decoration, lantern making, and batik painting.
Merging classic Malaysian arts with festive heritage, a special Batik Painting Workshop welcomes all generations to unleash their inner artist. Guests recreate the Chinese zodiac symbol for Horse using the bright colours and intricate designs of batik, leaving with a unique keepsake of their New Year getaway.
Festive Dining
On February 17, loved ones come together for Ikan Bakar Night, a lavish spread of traditional Malaysian flavours and ocean-fresh favourites. Savour the unmatched delight of freshly flame-grilled fish, complemented by an array of local sambals and served in the warm, residential-style setting at Ikan-Ikan.
The festivities continue with Fisherman’s Night on February 18 at Kelapa Grill, best enjoyed with one’s toes in the sand. Sweeping ocean views set the scene for fresh-off-the-boat seafood, caught in the Andaman Sea by local fishermen and prepared in a variety of styles to please every palate.
For a more intimate celebration, the team can arrange an In-Villa Hot Pot. Served in the privacy and comfort of individual villas, this cozy experience features aromatic broths, premium meats and fresh seafood – an interactive feast for the whole family.
