Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane to Partner with Artist Claire Luxton and Elephant Family for the Big Egg Hunt 2025

Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane announces its partnership with Elephant Family for The Big Egg Hunt 2025. The iconic hotel, celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, will unveil a bespoke egg designed by British contemporary artist Claire Luxton entitled Precious Cargo. Standing at three feet (90 centimetres) tall, the striking art installation will be showcased at the Bar Antoine Terrace from March 24 to April 27, 2025, nestled amid the surrounding greenery of the picturesque alfresco dining space.
The unique artwork at Four Seasons will be one of the few specially chosen bespoke eggs placed around London in iconic locations as part of the world class alternative Easter Egg Hunt – transforming London into a vibrant art exhibition like no other. Members of the public will be able to “collect” the eggs they find, ticking them off on a free app that is set to reveal prizes along the way. When the exhibition ends, these incredible sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Elephant Family projects that will help protect endangered animals all over the world.
Precious Cargo captures the delicate balance between nature's resilience and fragility. Through the image of a bee carrying an egg, this sculpture celebrates the arrival of new life and the promise of spring, while highlighting the crucial role of bees and pollination in our ecosystem. Its celebration of new life and nature effortlessly aligns with Bar Antoine's welcoming ambiance, enriching the space with a harmonious blend of tranquillity and vibrancy.
Claire Luxton comments: “Bees have a critical role in our eco system; 75 percent of global crops rely on pollination, and in the UK currently 35 bee species are under threat of extinction. I wanted the artwork to highlight the beauty and fragility of our ecosystem, through delicate symbolism reminiscent of Renaissance artist such as Botticelli, whist playing with the adornment and entwining of nature that was traditional seen in Faberge eggs.”
To mark this important collaboration, resident guests staying at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend will enjoy a delicious sweet treat inspired by the limited-edition art installation. Crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Francesco Mannino, a very special chocolate in-room amenity will be placed in guest rooms, reflecting Claire Luxton’s Precious Cargo masterpiece.
