Four Seasons Hotel Macao held its first “Cocktails for a Cause” event on September 16, 2017, to raise funds for the Run of Hope charity. The evening of cocktail creations officially introduced the details of the upcoming 9th annual Run of Hope Macau 2017 and created a fun-filled atmosphere for a fantastic cause.

The “Cocktails for a Cause” event saw some of Macau’s favourite personalities invited to draw in donations, including Howard Stribbel, Principal of The Macau International School; Reggie Martin, Senior Manager of VIP/Celebrity Relations of Sands Macao; Charles Bell, Senior Manager of DFS Consumer Marketing; and Samantha Birkwood of International Ladies Club of Macau. Together with the Hotel’s General Manager Kris Kaminsky, they each had to create their own cocktails as part of a competition. It was Kris Kaminsky who was crowned the winner of the evening, bringing in the most donations for his Splash Smash cocktail creation. The five celebrity cocktails are now available at Bar Azul, from which the proceeds will continue to contribute to the charitable fund.

The annual Run of Hope Macau is organised by Four Seasons Hotel Macao, together with the Macau International School and Canadian Chamber of Commerce as its major partners. This year, it will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017, with participants able to choose in joining either a 5.6 km running course or a family friendly 3 km walk. A minimum donation of MOP 250 per adult and MOP 125 per child is encouraged, of which all proceeds will go to support the cancer program at Kiang Wu Hospital as well as the operations of Evangelize China Fellowship Orphanage.

To make this annual event even more fun-filled and charitable, the Hotel will hold a brunch at the Hotel’s backyard to conclude the race. The Run & Brunch experience is priced at MOP 550 per adult and MOP 250 per child and is also open to those who come to cheer the runners along.

“Entering its ninth year, Run of Hope Macau has already become a fun event for people of all ages coming together to meaningfully support the ones in need in our community,” says Kris Kaminsky, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Macao. “I am very excited to host this year’s event in the Hotel’s backyard, sharing it with those that help raise funds for charity by means of their influence - and we hope to break the funds record this year.”

Registration for the Run of Hope Macao 2017 event is available at Four Seasons Hotel Macao as well as The Macau International School. For further details or enquiry, visit the Run of Hope Macao Facebook page or call (853) 2881 8888.
