Late Afternoon Snacks from Balbisiana and Molecot Now Available in El Patio at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid
- Until the end of summer, a more sophisticated version of the most iconic sweets and desserts from Balbisiana is available in the lobby for both guests and local residents, with an offer created exclusively for the hotel
- In this latest partnership that seeks to highlight the best of traditional craftwork and confectionery from Madrid, Molecot is for dressing the snacks with its Limoges porcelain tableware
Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is once again making a commitment to the very best talent as it seeks to offer unique experiences through its latest partnership with Balbisiana and Molecot, whose creations have become some of the most highly sought-after in Madrid in recent years. On this occasion, the Madrid bakery is enhancing its offer with desserts and sweets exclusively created for the Hotel that cannot be enjoyed anywhere else, and presenting them on Limoges porcelain tableware created by Molecot, a Spanish luxury brand.
“The experience at the Hotel is going to be completely different to that enjoyed by customers at our store; firstly because of the product, which has been created exclusively for this partnership; and secondly because of the mise en place with Molecot tableware and the environment offered by the lobby of such a hotel as Four Seasons Hotel Madrid,” says Paula Babiano, founder of Balbisiana.
From May 6, 2024 until the end of summer between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm, the desserts and sweets from Balbisiana will be available in the Hotel lobby, El Patio, through a selection that redefines some of the brand’s classics.
“Balbisiana is known as an honest, traditional and unpretentious bakery that uses ingredients of the utmost quality. With that in mind, we met with the team from the Hotel to come up with a customised range of products for this partnership. Our goal was to reinvent a number of classics and take them to the next level, such as the lime and pistachio desserts, and to innovate in other areas by creating new items to be sold exclusively at the Hotel. We have even used several purer flavours, such as violet, to emphasise the fact that this is a partnership in Madrid,” adds Paula Babiano, founder of Balbisiana.
The creations to be enjoyed in the Hotel lobby include a lime tartlet, a violet tartlet, a mini red berry tart, a mini botanical tart, the brand’s famous truffles, which will be available to enjoy either at the Hotel or to take away, and the berlisianas filled with cream and a pistachio topping or filled with pastry cream and a burnt yolk topping, on this occasion filled by the confectionary team at the Hotel. It will also be possible to choose between two individual cakes or a slice of Santiago almond cake from the Hotel’s desserts and sweets display. All these options will be available every day from 12:00 noon.
“For this partnership, we sought to work with the typical flavours of Madrid while also blending them with more traditional recipes and tastes based on innovative baking in order to offer unique experiences that can only be found at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid,” says Pau Eche, Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid.
The El Patio late afternoon snacks for EUR 26 per person will also be available in the afternoons between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. This option includes a hot or cold drink or beer, a Balbisiana cake of choice and a mini sandwich or savoury croissant. All this is served on the spectacular Punk tableware made from Limoges porcelain created by Molecot.
“This partnership is very special for us and a great opportunity to raise the profile of our brand in such a luxury environment that suits Molecot so well as Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. On this occasion, we have chosen our iconic Punk tableware range in white porcelain with black spikes and gold trim because it is one of our most versatile options and the one that best represents who we are,” adds Juqui Suárez de Lezo, founder and partner of Molecot alongside María José González-Moro and Marta Cotoner.
With this latest partnership, the Hotel seeks to consolidate its position among not only the international public looking to enjoy the epicentre of this capital but also all those local residents seeking new experiences and flavours in one of the most vibrant parts of Madrid.
