Llum i Sal: The New Seaside Restaurant at Four Seasons Resort Mallorca Opens Its Doors on the Iconic Formentor Beach

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca welcomes announced the opening of Llum i Sal, a beach restaurant that pays homage to the light and salt of the Mallorcan coast. Located just steps from the sea and open daily from 12:30 to 5:30 pm, the space embodies the relaxed spirit of the Mediterranean, combining fresh local products, incomparable views, and legendary Four Seasons service.

The Culinary Offering

With the sea as its inspiration, the chef has designed a fresh and unpretentious menu that celebrates the best locally sourced fish and seafood. Highlights include:

  • “Super Gilda” – anchovy, tuna, gordal olive, prawn, and caper leaf
  • Gratinated razor clams and clams in green sauce, pure expressions of Atlantic and Mediterranean flavour
  • Bluefin tuna belly, the so-called “ham of the sea,” and grilled turbot with pil-pil sauce, for fire lovers
  • Sharing-style rice dishes, from garden vegetable paella to black rice with scallops and bone marrow

The menu is rounded out with elevated classics—patatas bravas and crispy prawns with lemon—as well as nods to the Balearic countryside, such as roasted eggplant with feta cheese, pomegranate, and dates. In just two or three bites, each dish reveals the philosophy of Llum i Sal: honest ingredients, precise technique, and absolute respect for the season.

More Than a Beach Bar

  • Exclusive sunbed area: guests can enjoy loungers right by the sea for an additional fee, enjoying à la carte service without leaving the sand
  • Local sourcing: much of the fish comes from fishermen in the Bay of Pollença, who head out at dawn to provide the freshest catches each day
