Art, Music and Mediterranean Spirit to Celebrate the Second Anniversary of Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor celebrates its second anniversary as one of the Mediterranean’s most exceptional retreats. To mark this special occasion, the iconic resort has curated an evening celebrating local art, culture and traditions through a journey showcasing its collection of works by artists from the island.

Under the theme “2 Years Together,” the celebration will take place today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the incomparable setting of the Formentor Peninsula. An evening conceived as a tribute to local talent and to the hotel’s connection with the island since opening its doors under the Four Seasons brand in 2024, reviving the legacy of one of Mallorca’s most iconic destinations.

“Two years ago, we opened the doors to Formentor with the challenge of giving this place a new life without losing what makes it unique. Since then, together with our team, local institutions, the community and everyone around us, we have been building a project deeply connected to Mallorca. Celebrating this anniversary through the art, culture and music of the islands is our way of paying tribute to Formentor’s identity and continuing to write together a story that is much bigger than us,” says Estreya Gosalbez, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor.

The experience will allow guests to discover a selection of artworks displayed throughout different spaces of the Resort, all inspired by the essence, landscape and traditions of the island. The journey brings together a range of contemporary artistic disciplines and expressions that engage in dialogue with the natural surroundings of Formentor and Mallorca’s artisanal craftsmanship.

Among the selected works is a collaborative creation by ABA Art and Gordiola, the historic Mallorcan company specialising in hand-blown glass since the 18th century. The piece combines a contemporary artistic perspective with the delicacy, transparency and movement characteristic of a glassmaking tradition deeply rooted in the island’s identity.

The itinerary also includes the iconic ceramic pine tree created by artist Andreu Maimó and master ceramist Pere Coll. Inspired by the pine forests of Formentor, the piece represents the meeting point between contemporary art and local ceramic tradition, bringing one of the most recognisable natural elements of the surrounding landscape into the Resort.

Mallorcan textile artist Adriana Meunié will also be featured in this journey. Known for working with natural fibres such as wool, esparto grass, carritx and raffia, Meunié creates organic pieces where craftsmanship, nature and contemporary design converge, drawing inspiration from the landscapes and traditions of Mallorca.

The selection is completed by the work of Diego Villalba, a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, ceramics and installations. Inspired by the nature and identity of Formentor, his pieces explore memory, landscape and the relationship between people and their surroundings through a variety of materials and textures.

Live music by the Jove Orquestra de les Illes Balears will accompany the art tour and provide the soundtrack to a celebration where culture, nature and hospitality come together. The evening will culminate with cocktails under the stars, surrounded by pine forests, mountains and the crystal-clear waters that make Formentor a truly unique destination in the Mediterranean.
