Festive season is a special time to visit Mauritius as savvy travellers swap winter grey for summer sun. At Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, an array of festive events complement 28°C days and a program brim-full of island adventures set the scene for magical moments.

Guests are invited to celebrate Christmas Creole-style and stay on to enjoy the New Year’s Eve extravaganza “Banané Vert” in a tropical paradise infused with festive spirit. From Michelin-star dining and seasonal feasts to sensational celebrations and family experiences, the season swings from Christmas Eve into the New Year. Lay back and relax between festivities with a glass of complimentary bubbles after every luxurious spa treatment or transformative wellness therapy courtesy of guest practitioners Cindy Labbe and Jaysen Kevin Veeran. Guests will ring in the New Year at a choice of dining venues before the dancing begins at a flame-lit sega on the beach and a late-night party with live music and fireworks rings in the new year.

“Expect Michelin-distinguished dining with Chef Marco Garfagnini to an abundance of festive family adventures on land and sea, each infused with the warmth of Mauritian hospitality,” says Sebastien Ganry, Resort Manager. “We invite you to join us for a mesmerizing festive celebration amid your very own tropical paradise.”

Family Festivities

Little eyes will light up when Santa and his elves arrive at the Mystik Garden bearing gifts. Daily activities at the Hobbit Village Kids’ Club keep the seasonal spirit alive with card crafting, cake baking, magic shows, family fun games, and festive movies. On New Year’s Eve, the Karokan Teens’ Club hosts a colourful outdoor mocktail making party with music under the stars until the clock chimes twelve. Throughout every stay, Kids For All Seasons offers an exhilarating daily program of tailored activities for kids of all ages. Families can play together with watersports, sailing, and complimentary bicycles, or have their villa host bring pop-up cinemas and sunset barbecues into the privacy of their residence.

Michelin-Star Dining

In addition to the tantalising international menus at seven signature restaurants and bars, December guests are treated to a selection of celebratory set menus and abundant buffet-style banquets on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Indulge in an Italian-inspired five-course feast with free-flowing Champagne from Michelin-distinguished guest Chef Marco Garfagnini under the starlight at Acquapazza. Graze together by the sand with Mediterranean and Mauritian specialities and sizzling live local sega at Bambou. Sample sumptuous seafood-inspired Asian cuisine overlooking the lagoon at Umi.Zaka. Every special day brings a choice of diverse dining experiences, or intimate in-villa occasions can be arranged with private chefs to create memories with those most cherished.

“A good meal shared in good company is such an integral part of our festive celebrations,” shares Executive Chef Gilles Arzur. “By curating a thrillingly diverse culinary journey, we invite our guests to discover both authentic flavours of the island and international gourmet tastes with celebrated chefs such as Chef Marco Garfagnini, which we hope will only further elevate and embellish their holiday experience with us.”

Luxury Villas

Every villa, sanctuary, and residence at the Resort features a private garden and a personal outdoor pool, or two. Three and five-bedroom Royal Island Sanctuaries are luxurious homes away from home, ideal for the whole family, or even extended loved ones and friends. For longer stays or absolute comfort, well-placed Private Retreats include up to five bedrooms, fully fitted kitchens, villa hosts, and optional in-villa dining prepared by resident chefs. One bedroom villas tucked away in the lush gardens or set by the sand offer a haven for couples or young families.

Winter Escape

Guests are invited to bid adieu to winter blues and ease through the days in luxuriant tropical seclusion lazing besides a choice of four resort swimming pools and stretching out on the white sand of private Ile aux Cerfs beach. The lagoon invites leisurely days teamed with adventure; guests will enjoy complimentary water sports from waterskiing and windsurfing to kayaking and sailing.

"Stroll fairways and greens with preferential rates at famed Anahita and Ile aux Cerfs golf clubs. Or simply sink into serenity at the award-winning overwater spa set on wooden pillars above the Indian Ocean," reflects Joelle Jennepy, Senior Director of Spa. “Our island resort is the perfect place to connect with nature and achieve a relaxing state of mind for the festivities. We listen to the needs of each individual guest to cultivate a personalised wellness experience that will resonate throughout their festive escape.”
