Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita Welcomes Gregory Viaud as General Manager
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita announces the appointment of Gregory Viaud as General Manager, as the Resort enters a new era following its extensive transformation.
A seasoned Four Seasons hotelier with more than two decades of international luxury hospitality experience, Gregory Viaud arrives in Mauritius from Four Seasons Hotel Rabat Kasr Al Bahr, where, as opening General Manager, he successfully led the Hotel's launch in Morocco's capital.
His move to Mauritius marks both a new destination and a return to familiar territory. Having spent eight years across Four Seasons resorts in Bora Bora, Bali and Maui, Gregory has developed a deep appreciation for island life and the unique connection between hospitality, community and the natural environment that defines the guest experience.
"Mauritius is a remarkable destination, and I am delighted to be joining the resort at such an exciting moment in its evolution. What inspires me most is the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team to create meaningful experiences that reflect the warmth, culture and natural beauty of Mauritius, while deepening our connection to the local community," says Gregory Viaud.
A Global Four Seasons Journey
A graduate of Vatel Nîmes Hotel and Tourism Business School in the South of France, Gregory Viaud began his Four Seasons journey at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane in 2004. His career has since taken him from Bora Bora, Bali and Maui to Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, followed by leadership roles at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center and Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, before his appointment as opening General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Rabat Kasr Al Bahr.
Throughout his career, Gregory has cultivated a people-first leadership philosophy, grounded in the belief that exceptional guest experiences begin with empowered teams, genuine connections and a strong sense of purpose.
In Mauritius, Gregory Viaud will lead the resort into its next chapter following its landmark seven-month transformation, which reimagined its all-pool villas and residence rentals, introduced new dining concepts and further enhanced OSEYAN Spa, Mauritius' only overwater spa. His focus will be on building upon the Resort's distinctive sense of place while celebrating the warmth of Mauritian hospitality and curating experiences that deepen guests' connection to the island and its unique culture.
"I have always believed that the most memorable hotels and resorts are those that truly belong to their destination,"continues Gregory Viaud. "Mauritius has an extraordinary richness, from its people and cultures to its landscapes and traditions, and I am excited to discover it alongside my family and find new ways for our guests to experience that spirit."
Back to Island Life
Outside of the resort, Gregory is a devoted family man and avid runner who enjoys football and tennis with his wife and two children. Having lived across several island destinations, he has developed a deep appreciation for the ocean and marine life, a passion he now shares with his family through time spent exploring the sea and its natural surroundings. Together, they also enjoy travelling and discovering the culture, history and local cuisine of the destinations they visit or call home.
