Il Becco Restaurant Opens at Four Seasons Hotel México, DF

Becco Group has partnered with Four Seasons Hotel México, DF to open Il Becco, a high-end restaurant designed to be a temple of contemporary Italian cuisine.

Officially opened in April as part of Hotel-wide renovations and enhancements, Il Becco offers diners an additional option to the popular Reforma 500.

Becco Group was founded in 2002 with L'Osteria del Becco, to continue the legacy of the legendary Beccofino in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, a traditional Italian restaurant opened in 1990 by Angelo Pavia. Rolly Pavia, son of Angelo, decided to innovate with a new concept: L'Osteria del Becco. Located in Polanco, this location offers a fresh, contemporary space that showcases the best of Italian cuisine in the country and is now regarded as one of the favourite restaurants in Mexico City. In September 2014, L'Osteria del Becco celebrated its 13th anniversary with the opening of the biggest Italian wine cellar in America. In 2006, Becco al Mare opened in Acapulco. Later, in 2011 La Cantinetta del Becco opened in the Santa Fe neighbourhood, thanks to Chef Julian Martinez and Fabio Libbra. Becco Group restaurants have won many awards such as the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine and the Best Authentic Italian Restaurant from The World's 50 Best Restaurants, ranking as one of the top three restaurants in Central and South America.

The opening of Il Becco restaurant represents the fifth restaurant for Becco Group in Mexico and the continuity of the style of Italian Mediterranean cuisine in the country.

Il Becco has a capacity for 70 diners in an elegant space designed by architect Rafael Sama. The subtlety of the aesthetics of this space will make guests feel as thought they are in Italy without leaving the city, a characteristic shared by each of the group's restaurants.
