Osaka, Japan

It’s been just over a year since Four Seasons Hotel Osaka opened – and already, the accolades are pouring in. Recently, two more new milestones marked the Hotel’s meteoric rise on the global hospitality stage.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka has been honoured as one of the Top 10 Hotels in Japan at the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, announced by Condé Nast Traveler on October 7. Voted on by thousands of travel enthusiasts, the Readers’ Choice Awards are widely considered one of the most respected rankings in the travel industry.

The award comes close on the heels of another prestigious recognition from SpaChina - a leading authority in Asian’s wellness industry, awarded one of the Spa’s signature treatments – Osaka Sensory Escape - as the Most Attractive Spa Treatment of the Year.

“We are thrilled to receive two such meaningful distinctions, just months after we celebrated our first anniversary,” says General Manager Alastair McAlpine, sharing his delight. “Our Hotel offers a modern, vibrant expression of Osaka – and it means the world to our team to see this exciting new vision being enjoyed by the international travel community, from guests to industry experts.”

Last year, the Hotel took home the Best of the Best Award for City Hotel by Robb Report China, as well as a spot in the Top 5 Overseas New Hotels by JIEMIAN Travel Destination Guide. It was also named the Best Hotel in Osaka for Spa and Wellness by Forbes Vetted Travel.

A Discovery (and Rediscovery) of Osaka

Providing a luxurious base in the storied Dojima district, Four Seasons Hotel Osaka invites guests to unpeel the city’s rich layers of tradition and modernity – whether visiting for the first time or returning with fond memories. Here, one finds a fresh take on timeless Japanese heritage, centred around a Ryokan-inspired journey at the dedicated GENSUI floor – complete with tatami rooms, tea rituals and the exclusive SABO lounge.

Up on the 36th floor, wellness takes centre of the stage, offering a full spectrum of rejuvenation and renewal. Highlights include a city-gazing indoor pool, private and public ofuro (Japanese baths), and a collection of regionally rooted treatments at The Spa. Every detail – from local artworks to panoramic views – connects guests to Osaka’s past while inviting them to explore its dynamic future.

The team at Four Seasons adds its own signature to the city’s fabled culinary scene: guests can sip story-infused cocktails at Bar Bota, savour a taste of France at Jardin, and sample authentic Cantonese fare at Jiang Nan Chun. At Sushi L’Abysse Osaka Yannick Alléno, French haute cuisine merges with sushi craftsmanship, unveiling an omakase experience like no other.

Ideally positioned as a hub for exploring Western Japan, the Hotel is both a sanctuary for relaxation and a launchpad for adventure. With the Shinkansen mere minutes away, guests can easily access Kyoto’s ancient temples, Nara’s sacred deer and Kobe’s world-renowned beef.

With its intuitive service, curated experiences and a dash of playful charm, Four Seasons Hotel Osaka redefines what luxury means in Japan’s most energetic city.
