This World Kindness Day, Four Seasons Hotel Prague is bringing the spirit of the season to life with “Embrace,” a specially crafted gâteau by Pastry Chef Giovanni Marco Carandino. Net proceeds from each purchase will benefit the Foundation of Tereza Maxova, providing essential support and nutrition to mothers and children in local shelters.

This limited-edition gâteau called Embrace, available from November 13 through Christmas 2024, celebrates kindness, community, and the joy of giving back.

“We’re delighted to invite our Hotel guests as well as local community to join us in supporting a worthy cause through this special treat,” says Chef Giovanni Marco Carandino. “By enjoying the Embrace cake, our guests are directly supporting those in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and generosity.”

Embrace is a light milk chocolate and cinnamon mousse gâteau inspired by local ingredients and the festive season. Chef Carandino has brought a festive twist to this creation, incorporating locally inspired flavours such as cinnamon - an iconic ingredient in Czech holiday baking - and pears sourced from the region. Complemented by Sicilian oranges, which are in season and add a subtle tang, the gâteau offers a perfect blend of sweetness, acidity, and texture. The creamy caramel and rich chocolate mousse provide a balanced contrast to the vibrant citrus cream and soft cocoa biscuit, creating a truly harmonious experience.

Available at CottoCrudo restaurant, Embrace serves six people and is priced at CZK 990. Orders must be placed at least six hours in advance.

Proceeds from Embrace Gâteau Will Provide Fresh Fruit for Children in Need

Through the sale of Embrace gâteau, proceeds will go to the Tereza Maxova Foundation, which will deliver fresh, nutrient-rich fruit for children in several shelter homes across the Czech Republic, who often lack access to this vital nourishment.

Shelters supporting mothers and children in difficult life situations rely primarily on food bank donations, which lack fresh products and fruit. As the winter season brings added challenges to children’s immunity, the foundation’s commitment to providing fresh fruit is a timely boost for children’s health and well-being.
