At the heart of MKT’s private dining experience is a talented and passionate culinary team led by Executive Chef Shaun Acosta at the helm. Inspired by the Bay Area’s rich culinary landscape, MKT focuses on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, refined technique, and bold, balanced flavours. The approach is thoughtful and ingredient-driven, with an emphasis on simplicity and hospitality—creating personalized menus well-suited to both intimate gatherings and celebratory events. Sample menu highlights include Organic Baby Greens salad with shaved fennel, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, watermelon radish, Humboldt Fog cheese, raspberry and almond crumble, and chardonnay vinaigrette; followed by Lamb Pappardelle Pasta with slow cooked lamb shank, herb ricotta, and basil; and Alaskan Halibut with green garlic spinach puree, confit fennel, braised artichokes and ramp relish; and complete with Heirloom Carrot Cake served with crème brûlée “ frosting,” candied carrots, pecan streusel, and carrot gel.

With room for 40 seated or 75 standing guests, it’s a hidden gem for larger events that still feel personal.
  • Windows: Framed by floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Windows offers striking views of downtown San Francisco and Market Street. With seating for up to 20 guests, it’s perfectly suited for private lunches, dinners, or boardroom-style meetings—enhanced by a dedicated pre-function space just steps away. Windows can be combined with the adjacent View room and foyer to host receptions for up to 40 guests.
  • View: Boasting a spectacular panorama over Grant Street and the iconic gates of San Francisco’s Chinatown, this semi-private space seats up to eight and strikes the perfect balance between intimacy and energy—ideal for milestone dinners, small celebrations, or elevated business meals.
  • Trio: For larger groups, combine Windows, View, and the Foyer for a seamless event flow—the “Trio” accommodates up to 40 for a reception.
  • MKT Restaurant Buyout: For the most exclusive experience, guests can reserve the entire MKT Restaurant for up to 200 guests and make the space their own.
