Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Night Market

The annual tradition of lighting a beautifully decorated, 15-foot (4.5 metre) Christmas tree continues this year, on Saturday, November 30. Guests gather together as the tree is lit for the first time this season, while savouring hot chocolate and holiday cookies. For the first time, guests are welcome to delight in a holiday market with featured items from local vendors on Monte Vista Lawn before the ceremony. Enjoy mulled wine and roasted chestnuts while shopping for holiday gifts surrounded by snow and Christmas carollers.

Cookie Making Class with Mrs. Claus

Back by popular demand, kids can join Mrs. Claus and Four Seasons pastry chefs for a holiday cookie decorating workshop. Enjoy a fun and creative afternoon of decorating freshly baked sugar cookies with a variety of festive toppings.

Story Time with Santa

Menorah Lighting

To celebrate the eight nights of the holiday, a traditional lighting of the menorah commences on December 22 at sundown. The lighting will take place in the lobby, and will continue every night at sundown through December 30.

Teddy Bear Tea

Don’t miss this longstanding tradition and annual event benefitting local children’s charities. Four Seasons Teddy Bear Tea is designed for adults and their children and will certainly become a cherished memory for years to come. While Mom or Dad is nibbling on tea sandwiches and pastries, the kids are delighting in playtime and holiday treats. Santa’s elves entertain with activities such as cookie making, sing-alongs and story time, while Santa himself makes an appearance. Keepsake photographs will be taken. Note that space is limited and early reservations are recommended.  This year, a portion of the proceeds will go to the neonatal intensive care unit at Cottage Hospital and guests are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to donate.

El Galeon Speakeasy

This December 13, a rarely seen hidden space comes alive as a modern day version of a 1920s speakeasy. The nautical-themed room, El Galeon, that was originally used during the prohibition as a drinking and poker lounge will be outfitted for the evening with white glove service, champagne, poker and cocktails from the era that pair perfectly with Chef Michael Patria’s modern twist on 1920s hors d’oeuvres. Guests are encouraged to follow the 1920s dress code. Due to the nature of the event location, there are limited tickets available.
