Nutrition 1:1 w/Biomarkers - Empower nutrition choices to optimize overall wellbeing in a private 75-minute session with a Nutrition Guide. Following an assessment on a body composition analysis machine, which uses a low-level electrical current to collect key metrics, a Nutrition Guide will interpret multiple data points focused on muscle, fat and hydration status and help guests to identify proven lifestyle modifications. Session available without biomarkers.
Nutrition for Strength - Discover how to effectively fuel the body for exercise and overall well-being in this new nutrition and fitness session pairing. Sensei Guides will use biomarkers to gather muscle, fat and hydration data as well as cardiovascular (V02 max) fitness to help understand calorie burning, effects of food choices, optimal times for replenishing and more.
Another challenge people may experience relates to their relationship with food. The practice of mindful eating encompasses several concepts that help guests reconnect with food and important signals from one’s body, such as hunger, satiety, or even stress responses. Guests can gain understanding and awareness of their eating habits with this dedicated session.
Sensory Eating Experience
Fuelled by cuisine from Sensei by Nobu, learn to harness all five senses to still the mind, spark gratitude and prepare for nourishment in this 75-minute class. Led by a Nutrition Guide, participants learn the importance of a restful state during mealtime to promote appetite, facilitate digestion and instil healthy eating habits.
Guests can also explore a number of complimentary wellness classes during their stay, including ones on nutrition such as Gut Instinct: Understanding your Microbiome. Learn about the intricate relationship between habits and the millions of beneficial microorganisms in the body, and discover how daily choices can shape this ecosystem. The clean food philosophy at Sensei Lanai is not only about the enjoyment of the meal, but about how one feels after, with produce grown nearby at Sensei Farms. Menus have been designed by world-renowned Japanese Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his team in close collaboration with Sensei nutritionists. A focus on fresh, less-processed foods, things in moderation along with the idea that one’s body will provide feedback to guide choices for future meals. Choose from Avocado Toast with Zaatar and egg whites, or whole wheat blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Enjoy Chirashi Don, Salmon Burgers or Chilled Udon Noodles for lunch, while the dinner menu features Jidori Chicken Breast, Nobu’s Black Cod and a glass of wine or perhaps a dessert made with stevia or monkfruit sweetener.
