Charles H. at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul Named the Best Bar in Korea, Ranking at #64 on The World’s Best Bars 2018 List

Charles H. at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul has been named the #1 bar in Korea, ranking at #64 on The World’s 100 Best Bars 2018 list. Only three bars in Korea made the cut with Charles H. receiving the highest ranking voted by an Academy of more than 500 drinks industry experts, bartenders and cocktails specialists worldwide.

Leading the passionate and highly skilled team at Charles H. is Head Bartender Lorenzo Antorini, who joined the team from London last year and successfully positioned the bar as one of the best destinations in the cocktail industry. “The World’s 100 Best Bars list is the most anticipated ranking for bar professionals and cocktail aficionados all over the world and we are thrilled to be a part of such prestigious list of establishments,” says Lorenzo Antinori. With a nod to the Prohibition-era speakeasies of New York, Charles H. at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul opened its doors in October 2015, introducing a thoroughly modern drinking experience inspired by the travels and writings of global cocktail authority and legendary bon vivant Charles H. Baker. The beverage menu boasts carefully edited and crafted selection of cocktails from classic to contemporary libations inspired by the travel and writings of Charles H. Baker using only high quality products and artisanal spirits. Designed by AvroKo, the décor of the bar is inspired by the intricate subterranean spaces of 1920s and 1930s New York, and incorporates palette and details inspired by the Korean traditional royal dress and modern Korean metalwork to create a sense of exoticism, glamor and romance previously unseen in Seoul’s speakeasy scene.
