Seychelles

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles has turned up the heat with the launch of Sware Kreol, a new weekly dining experience every Wednesday at Kannel Restaurant from 6:30 to 10:00 pm. Combining the irresistible flavours of the Seychelles with live Creole music and Moutya dancing, this unforgettable evening is a true celebration of the island’s rich cultural heritage, one sizzling dish and rhythmic drumbeat at a time.

A Culinary Celebration Under the Stars

Each week, guests are invited to indulge in a feast that showcases the very best of Seychellois cuisine. At the heart of the experience is the live BBQ, featuring an incredible selection of locally caught lobster, succulent lamb chops, marinated chicken, and a traditional hog roast, all grilled to perfection. Complementing the smoky aromas of the barbecue are the island’s favourite Creole curries, including a standout fragrant Octopus Curry, prepared with fresh seafood and authentic spices by Chef Marlene “Mama” Adesoyede herself.

For those who love variety, the salad and fruit stations offer a refreshing spread of local ingredients, while the pastry section tempts guests with indulgent Creole-inspired desserts. Every bite tells a story of tradition, patience, and passion.

A Night Rooted in Tradition

Sware Kreol is a labour of love, led by the legendary Mama Marlene, a respected name in Seychellois cuisine. Her passion for Creole cooking is at the heart of this weekly event, where time-honoured recipes and authentic flavours bring the spirit of the Seychelles to life.

“Sware Kreol was a collective idea that came from a desire to celebrate the richness of Seychellois culture,” says Nitin Abbi, General Manager. “It was then that I thought, who better to be at the heart of it than Chef Mama Marlene, who has been cooking authentic Creole dishes for years and truly embodies the spirit of our islands.” Rooted in tradition, the evening offers guests an immersive experience of Creole heritage through food, music and storytelling.

From live cooking stations to the unmistakable warmth of Mama’s hospitality, Sware Kreol is more than just a meal, it’s a celebration of culture, community, and Creole heritage. Now a weekly tradition, this new dining experience promises to transport guests straight to the heart of Seychelles, one unforgettable dish at a time.

Sware Kreol takes place every Wednesday from 6:30 to 10:00 p at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles. Price: SCR 3,000 per person, and SCR 1,500 per child.
